IN DEFENCE OF THE REALM: The RNAS in the Great War

Like its companion talk “Predator and Prey” this talk explores the pilots of the First World War.  The Royal Naval Air Service to a large extent had a different role to that of the Royal Flying Corps and many unique problems – landing  on a moving ship while at sea being one of them!  This talk explores the pilots and their challenges and successes using eye-witness and newspaper accounts to give you a new view of what exactly Navy pilots did in the Great War.
