Leamington and the Flying Circus

The story of the visits to Leamington of Sir Alan Cobham’s Flying Circus in the 1930s and of Leamington’s experiences of aviation prior to the Great War.   It covers some of the exploits of those wartime pilots and tells of Major Julius Bonniksen and the setting up of his aerodrome on Harbury Lane.

This talk was given to the Bishops Tachbrook History Group on 13 June 2017 and was commissioned for the Sydenham History Group in 2015.
